SPEAKING

Speaking from experience, not theory.

I speak on EV infrastructure, the energy transition and the practical realities of deploying charging at scale — drawing on direct operational experience across Finland, the Nordics, the UK and broader Europe.

My talks are grounded in what actually happens at the infrastructure layer — the grid constraints, the depot realities, the gap between a commercially attractive proposal and a constructible one — not the optimistic version of events that features in most conference programmes.

The grid constraint problem: why most EV charging rollouts stall before they start

The biggest obstacle to EV charging deployment is rarely the charger — it is the grid connection. Covers BESS integration, peak load management, phased capacity approaches, and how to design solutions that are actually buildable. Drawn from direct experience across motorway, CPO and depot programmes in the Nordics and UK.

Relevant for: infrastructure investors, property developers, CPOs, energy companies, local authorities, policymakers.

Fleet electrification at scale: lessons from 1,200 buses across the Nordics

What does it actually take to electrify a large public transport fleet? Draws on delivering one of the largest electric bus charging installations in the Nordics — a 15 MW depot, 12 MVA grid connection, ten depots across Finland and Sweden. Covers procurement, OEM relationships, grid planning and depot design.

Relevant for: public transport authorities, fleet operators, bus manufacturers, municipal governments, infrastructure funds.

The CPO business model: what actually works

As EV charging moves from build-out to commercial operation, CPOs face mounting pressure to demonstrate sustainable unit economics. Examines the revenue streams, energy cost structures and expansion strategies that distinguish durable businesses from those burning through investment.

Relevant for: CPO leadership teams, investors, energy companies, retail property owners, boards.

ESG beyond compliance: infrastructure as genuine impact

Drawing on Lagos State government consultancy, West African renewable energy programmes, thirteen years of international development work across four continents, and EV infrastructure delivery across Europe — a practical perspective on what genuine ESG engagement looks like at the operational level.

Relevant for: boards with ESG mandates, impact investors, regulated infrastructure sectors, development finance institutions.

From networking to net zero: navigating technology transitions

A strategic perspective on technology transitions drawn from thirty years at the frontier — from the early internet and 3Com, through renewable energy in Sub-Saharan Africa, to EV charging infrastructure at national scale. What makes a technology transition succeed? What kills promising technology before it reaches scale?

Relevant for: leadership forums, investor conferences, boards navigating technology disruption, strategy teams.

I am not a professional speaker with a fixed deck. I am a practitioner who speaks. Every engagement is prepared around the specific audience, their sector, their challenges and what they actually need to leave the room knowing.

Keynote

30–45 minute keynote for industry conferences, investor events and corporate leadership forums. Content tailored to the specific audience and theme.

Panel participation

Experienced panel participant on EV infrastructure, energy transition, fleet electrification and ESG topics. Brings direct operational experience to discussions that can otherwise skew theoretical.

Board & leadership briefing

Private briefings for boards and executive teams on EV infrastructure strategy and energy transition readiness. Typically 60–90 minutes including Q&A.

Workshop facilitation

Half or full-day working sessions on EV charging strategy, infrastructure planning, fleet electrification roadmaps, or ESG programme design.
